It’s always fun to have big talent come to our little corner of the state. Angie Stevens has been a fixture at the Collegiate Peaks Music Festival (CPMF) for several years now. If you haven’t gotten to hear or see her play, you are definitely missing out. She and her band blend a high energy stage presence with thoughtful lyrics and a soulful style.
Jake Schroeder with 5280 magazine writes,
“This Denver-based singer-songwriter’s ballads are layered, carrying both the toe-tapping satisfaction and quiet melancholy with which life often socks us. … Keep your ears open for some exceptionally tasty bass work and for Stevens’ seasoned voice, which subtly captures the feeling that things are neither right nor wrong, but a wonderful mix of both.”
After being chosen as Denver’s Best singer/songwriter for 2007, she has been touring non-stop including Austin’s seminal music fest, South-By-SouthWest, shows across the country and will be representing Colorado in New York on center stage at Madison Square Gardens park. Angie will be headlining CPMF on Saturday, Auguet 16th at 8pm. Mark your calendars. You do not want to miss her set.
Here she is live @ Red Rocks.
