Trash on the Whipple TrailIt is amazing how many times out running or walking on the Barbara Whipple Trail or hanging out at the river park just east of town we bump into so many good friends from the community. Many locals and visitors alike use the trail and the river area on a regular basis. This winter has been no exception.

Earl Richmond of CKS and some other folks have taken the initiative to get a BV River Park clean-up day organized. Check out this recent post on The Trailhead blog for more details. If you use the trail once a year or once a day, we highly encourage you to join everyone down there with baggies and gloves, picking up trash and dog poop. Remember that the trail sits right above the river, and water does not mix well with dog poop. It is very important that we get the trail cleaned up for the health and beauty of our trail and river.

The clean-up is being sponsored by CKS, The Trailhead, and Mother’s. The group will be meeting at the bridge at 10am. Kids are welcome and food will be provided.

See you on Sunday!
