“The first annual BV Spring Fling River Park clean up was a huge success. Local special interest groups including hikers, bikers and paddlers came together on Sunday April 27th to pick up trash in all areas and trails adjacent to the Buena Vista Whitewater Park. The 2 hour event produced over 60 pickle buckets full of trash, recyclables, and dog droppings. All participants were rewarded with great beverages and a full BBQ after the clean up. The event was such a success that organizers plan to make it an annual spring time event to keep our river park clean and beautiful for locals and tourists alike.”
