You may ask “But what IS a house concert?”. HouseConcertConnection does a nice job answering this very question.
“It’s always been my opinion (even before I knew anything about house concerts), that the musical underground, the independent circuit, and the festival scene offer the best music available. I’m not particularly “cool,” “hip” or “visionary.” However, like most people who experience even one house concert, I have a lot of confidence in my ears. There’s something exciting out there that can’t be experienced on mainstream radio, TV, or in the Walmart CD section. Find a house concert near you. Go and experience.”
In a rapidly changing music industry, house concerts are a great way to support local musicians. Musicians directly receive the entire amount of money taken at the door for tickets, so many hard working musicians find house concerts to be more viable than playing in a bar or other traditional venue. Audiences like house concerts with their intimate nature and the community building aspects as many house concerts have a potluck before the concert. They are quickly become a very popular activity with musicians and fans here and abroad.
A house concert is coming to a home near you!

Hey BV! Bones and his seasoned crew are busy setting up downstairs…this is turning out to be a multimedia extravaganga of the likes which will not likely be seen at our humble house concert again. There are still some slots, but we are limited on space, so please RSVP by email before coming to the address above. Then we’ll tell you about the other great concerts we have scheduled this summer!
