Bike events abound as we see the second day of Bike to Work Week, enter the second week of National Bike Month and prepare for June, Colorado’s official bike month. Buena Vista citizens are all geared up and rolling into town.
Brian S. writes:
“This annual event is promoted by the League of American Bicyclists, which has been advocating bike travel since its inception in 1880 when it was first known as the League of American Wheelmen….
Bike to work week is a great opportunity to join together and try something new, or for those who are already enjoying getting from point A to B without cranking up the combustion engine, take this opportunity to share the experience with someone you know. 30% of people who try Bike to Work Week/Day are hooked the very first day. That must mean it’s a good thing” Check out the rest of his post here.
For a quick review of ideas on staying safe on the roads check out this article by Drew M. of Ark Valley Velo. And, speaking of biking, this Saturday, May 17 will be the 10th Annual Buena Vista Bike Fest.
So get out there and bike. See you on the road.
