“If you don’t think an accordion is hip and cool, think again. Members of the Boulder Acoustic Society (BAS) are bringing together an assortment of uncommon instruments to make natural and vibrant sounds. “We use a collection of instruments that most people wouldn’t use in popular music, like the accordion, ukulele, banjo and violin,” said BAS member Aaron Keim.” Tracey Hunter writes in her News Team Boulder article.
Go ahead and meet the creators of this unique band and see what they are all about. Then travel over to their MySpace page to hear some of their tunes.
Westword says, “The playing of multi-instrumentalists Kailin Young, Brad Jones, Scott Aller, Aaron Keim and Scott McCormick doesn’t meander in search of inspiration.”
Boulder Acoustic Society is just one of the many fabulous bands that will be playing in Buena Vista for the Collegiate Peaks Music Festival. In the upcoming weeks ChannelBV will be featuring a few of the bands that will be playing this year, just to give you a taste of the fabulous, free, diverse treat you will receive if you attend.
