Buena Vista will play host to the 30th anniversary celebration of the Continental Divide Trail on Saturday. This year’s TrailFest will feature 15 Get on the Divide Adventures including a llama trek at Twin Lakes, a Mt. Elbert peak climb, and a hike along a new section of the trail near Cottonwood Pass. These adventures range from easy to difficult hiking or mountain biking. If you are not already registered for one of these adventures you will need to do so at the park either (today) July 18th from 5-8pm or on Saturday, July 19th beginning at 6am.
From 10 am to 6 pm Saturday, CDTA Base Camp in McPhelemy Park will be open with outdoor booths, gear demos, clinics, raffle and silent auction. There will also be Taste of the Trail dinner which is featuring cuisine inspired by the people and communities of the Trail.
A full schedule of live music will be happening in McPhelemy Park from 12 noon through 9 pm.
Hope to see you there!

Thanks to everyone who came out to support TrailFest! We are continuing to work to make this an even bigger signature event for Buena Vista. Please share your comments and recommendations with me so I can make these ideas known to the CDTA. Let’s keep working to make TrailFest OUR event.
Thanks again!
