Looking for music next weekend? How does this description sound?

“From the high desert of Northern New Mexico, singer/songwriter Cahalen’s music sweeps from raggy fingerpicking and twangy bluegrass ballads, to traditional New Mexican rancheros and bluesy lap slide guitar.” says the Weathervane Farm House Concert Blog.

Cahalen David Morrison and Sven Hooson will be featured at this house concert as part of their 26-date Four Corners Buzz Tour.

Cahalen is a singer-songwriter from northern New Mexico. If you want a sneak preview, turn up your speakers and check out his website. You can flip through some of his pieces using the player in the top right of the website. He plays guitar, lap steel and mando and sings in a style that expresses the diversity of Americana music.

Sven Hooson plays guitar, dulcimer, and Theremin, a unique electronic instrument. (Yes, I wondered what a Theremin was too… here are some instructions on how to make a Theremin) If you’d like to hear how it sounds, this video, gives a good example.
