Bill Humble, a religion professor at Abilene Christian University in Texas for 30 years, will be returning to the Mountain View Church of Christ September 12-14 for a series of lessons entitled “Exploring the World of Islam”. All the information submitted in this series will be more in depth than the lessons provided two years ago by Dr. Humble on this same subject.
Bill and his wife, Jerry, began hosting tours to the Holy Land in 1979 and have led nineteen groups on Holy Land tours. In addition to these tours, they have led about ten tours to Biblical sites in other counties including Turkey, Greece and Egypt.  They have also taken students from Abilene Christian University to work on archaeological excavations in Caesarea Philippi.
The schedule is:

Friday, September 12 – “The Five Pillars of Islam” – 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, September 13 – “The Muslim Call for Holy War” – 7:30 p.m.

Sunday, September 14

  • “Father Abraham – in the Bible and the Quran” – 10:00 a.m.
  • “The Muslim Jesus” – 11:00 a.m.
  • “The Israel-Palestinian Struggle for the Holy Land” – 1:30 p.m.

All the sessions are open to members of the public who are invited to take advantage of this factual and unbiased opportunity to learn more about the Islamic religion..  Handouts will be available for each lesson.  Each session will also be recorded for those not able to attend all the sessions.
Refreshments will be served after the sessions on Friday and Saturday evenings.
