Wednesdays
Buena Vista Community Meditation meets Wednesday evenings to sit in silent meditation/centering prayer. People of all religious traditions, spiritual inclinations, those simply interested in developing a personal practice of silent meditation, or those interested in the concept of a community coming together without words are invited. All are welcome. There is no fee nor collection taken. 5:30 to 7:00, Congregational United Church of Christ (behind the Post Office). Music at Mother’s, every Wednesday from 7-9, is hosted by the house band Your Surrogate Cousin, which is Dave Tipton of Salida on Chapman Stick (www.tiptonstick.com) and Eric Belsey of Buena Vista on guitar, harmonica and vocals. They host other generally local musicians when feasible.
Thursdays
Bodhimarga - Weekly live, interactive, web-based buddhist teachings, discussion and meditation by some of the best buddhist teachers of our time. 6 pm to 7:30 pm. Find more information at this link.
Sundays
Buena Vista Farmers’ Market - Local growers and food producers, artisans and crafters and organizations will give visitors a taste of the variety the area has to offer. Weekly entertainment and tours of the farm will also be available. Proceeds from the Market will go to help support the Buena Vista Heritage and their Historical properties. 11 to 3pm at Turner Farm, 829 West Main Street. (June 21 through September 13)
