Buena Vista Fourth of July Celebration - Festivities begin at 7am with pancakes in the park. The parade down Main Street starts at 10am followed by food, entertainment and games in the part. The day ends with a fireworks display at the rodeo grounds.

Madams of Central Colorado - Several of Chaffee County’s infamous Madams have returned from the dead and are having a little gathering upstairs at the Heritage Museum. Meet Cockeyed Liz and Belle Brown from BV, Laura Evens from Salida, Lillian Powers of Florence and some of “the girls.” They invite you to come and learn about what it was like to be a “soiled dove” in the late 1800’s. Educational and historical, this presentation has adult content but is very tastefully done with no foul language. Not recommended for young children. Performance will be at 7pm in the Heritage Museum. Tickets are $15 per person, $12 for members, and are available in advance at the Buena Vista Chamber and BV Heritage Museum.
